Why do I have to use Netbeans?
NHS has chosen Netbeans 8.2 as its in-class development environment for ICS courses.
You are welcome to use Eclipse, or Visual Studio or ZarfWorks, or FingerWag3.9. Whatever you like.
However you are responsible for making sure that the .zip export packages you will be submitting to be marked will run under Netbeans 8.2 with NO ADDITIONAL LIBRARIES other than those used in class.
Your teacher doesn't have time to chase you when your project won't load for marking. If it doesn't load for marking, it gets a ZERO until you fix it. For EQUITY REASONS, it will be marked if it's fixed before the class marks for the assignment are posted in TeachAssist. If it's not fixed after marks have been posted in teachAssist, it remains as a ZERO.
So if you have deep philosophical reasons for using something other than Netbeans, that's fine, but you must FULLY TEST your program running in the Netbeans 8.2 IDE to make sure it works BEFORE you submit the .zip export file for marking.
DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL NETBEANS 8.2! :-) :-) :-)
