Pseudocode Guidelines for ICS at NHS
Example: Start a fresh Google Sheet and call it 'Nov 3 Pseudocode'
Build a pseudocode to represent the operation of a cash register that totals up a person's purchased items,
Calculates the HST and then the grand total of tax plus total purchases. Prices will be entered from the keyboard.
// Grade 11s - September 2021 - we're not doing this stuff below for the moment. Don't worry about it.
Your Assessment As Learning(AAL) Problem for today is:
Movie Ticket Sales
Write a pseudocode that keeps asking for a person's age until a -9 is entered.
Start a running total to keep track of the total of all tickets purchased
After an age is received
If the age is over 13, say they're an adult and tell them the price is $12
if the age is over 60 say they're a senior and tell them the price is $8
any other age, tell them they're a child and tell them the price is $4
update the running total with the ticket price
after -9 is entered, show the total of tickets purchased.
Share the Google Sheet of your solution with your teacher by 5pm today, for FEEDBACK ONLY. NO MARK WILL BE ASSIGNED.
GIVE THE TEACHER EDIT privileges so they can mark it up.
